WHAT TO EXPECT:

The purpose here is to talk about side hustles! What is a "side hustle" you may ask? A side hustle is something you do on the side, separate from your normal job, to make some extra money!

A lot of you may have gotten started in a side hustle when you were young. Mowing lawns, shoveling snow, selling lemonade, etc are all examples of side hustles that young people often do to make money when they're not in school. Sometimes those ideas stick with them and end up becoming a small business!

Now this page is called The Quiet Hustler. "Mike, that's an odd name for a page!" Well yes but no. Over the past year we have heard the terms "quiet quitter" and "quiet firing" quite a bit. Quiet quitting is simply doing the job you get paid for and not going over and above for anything.

Quiet firing is what we call it when you start being ignored at work. You stop getting special projects, reviews may come very late if at all, etc. Those of us who are Millennials and older know this as, "making your job difficult until you quit".

So, I wanted to coin the phrase and the idea of "Quiet Hustling", where you do something you like in your off hours without anyone else knowing other than very close ones. And who knows, if it becomes successful it may start earning you enough money to quit your normal day job and work for yourself!

Youtubers are a great example. They make videos talking about a certain subject. As those videos gain popularity, they gain the attention of advertisers, which leads to ads being placed in/around the videos, which brings in ad revenue! Some people make well into 6 or even 7 figures just talking about something they love!

Youtubing, blogging, reselling, affiliate marketing, crypto trading, selling your own products, etc. are all examples of side hustles people are doing, and I want to dive in and explain how some of these work and tell you about them!
